In Stressful Times
Not too many people knew about this, but this morning at 7:30, my mother had a heart catherization done. She’s been having trouble with her shoulder and the Dr. said her shoulder required surgery. Before the surgery was to be scheduled though, she needed to have a stress test done on her heart to make sure that she was strong enough to endure the surgery. The stress test revealed that there was not sufficient blood flow in her heart so thus the heart catherization. I’m happy to report that the stress test was a “false-positive” report. In other words, the heart cath today revealed that her heart is perfectly fine with no blockage or blood flow problems.
A faithful woman in our church, Shawna Williams is having surgery today. Doctors have discoverd a mass the size of a palm lodged between the kidney, spleen and pancreas. Apparently in order to remove the mass they need to remove the kidney as well. We are praying that the mass is not connected to any other organ and that this procedure will be all that Shawna needs to have done.
In thinking about days like today, it’s great to know that Jesus loves us and wants to intercede for us as we pray to our Father. I remembering praying over my mother this morning at 7:00 in the prep room that the procedure will go well and that the report will be a good one and that there would be no need for any stints or further surgeries.
We will be praying for Shawna this afternoon as well.
Whatever the outcome of critical days, God is in control. He has a plan for everything and His plans are always for our benefit and good.
Be comforted in these verses today!
